Week 5 Results

Midway Mets (2) vs. White Bear Bears (1)
With Runs tied at 10.5 a piece the Bears suffer a hard loss with home field advantage at the hands of the Midway Mets.
Hitting 0-7 Bears - The Bears stagger the Mets hitting machine this week with a large amount of the credit going to Josh Reddick posting a team leading .417 Batting average including 7 runs, 3 Homeruns and 8 RBI's.  The loss of Hunter in the Mets lineup could be quite a blow to the Mets in the coming weeks as it arguably played a role in their demise this week.
Pitching 6-0-1 Mets - Brandon Morrow had a great 6 inning, 10 K performance which helped the Mets dominate the pitching category.  The only category the Bears contested was saves which both teams struggled to produce this week.
Mixed 4-3 Mets - The mixed category was a 3-3 split coming down to K's per 9 being the deciding  factor with the difference of .001 ultimately deciding the winner of this category as well as the week.

MVP of the Match up has to be the Mets Brandon Morrow as his K count was critical to the win this week.

Twin City Brewers (1) vs. Little Falls Polaks (2)
Polaks enjoy home cooking in the mixed category to ferment the Brewers chances of victory.
Hitting 1-5-1 Polaks: Polaks Cadillac to a win the hitting category although several categories were close the slumping Mark Reynolds has been battling issues and has lost his spot in the batting order, he will be given time in the farm systems to figure things out.
Pitching 6-1-0 Brewers. The Brewers posted a pitching performance good enough to beat the Polaks touting a league low 34.2 innings pitched over 11 appearances.  Although the Brewers had a lower Innings pitched (by .2) they still beat the Polaks by 10 K's on the week.  Looking into the weeks ahead it looks like the Brewers might have some Pitcher health issues a brewin'.
Mixed 3-3-1 Polaks.  The Polaks as advertised win this week by a home cooking win in the Mixed Category.  Although the Brewers posted more Plate Appearances losing both K's(batting) and Walks proved to be difficult to chug.  The category split was pitching appearances which ultimately gave the Polaks the Home Cooking victory.

MVP of the Match up Dustin Pedroia 11/28 H/AB, 8 Runs, 4 DBLs, 2 HR, 9 RBI.

Roesville Raiders (2) vs. Hugo Hurt Locker (1)

Hitting 7-0 Roesville:  Roesville had an impressive hitter posting a Batting average of .348 or higher.  These batters combined for 50/122 H/AB or an average of .410 batting Average.  A sweep here does not take a Stock Analyst to predict the results.  Josh Hamilton lead these batters with 14/30 H/AB, 9 Homeruns, 10 runs, 18 RBI's, ohh yeah an 2 doubles; meaning he only 2 of his hits were singles.
Pitching 3-4 Hugo:  Hugo had to make head way where they could battling their way to a 4-3 victory in the pitching category taking Loses, Saves, ERA and Whip.
Mixed 4-3 Roesville: Hugo was almost able to back door a win this week losing the mixed category by 1 run, which would have been an impressive feat considering only Hugo only took 8 Runs this week.  1 less error for Hugo could have driven them to a Home cooking victory.  Ultimately Roesville powers past the Hugo Hurt Locker to solidify their place of honor on top of the Division.

MVP Josh "is he Black?" Hamilton with his previously mentioned hitting amazingness.

Township Tomahawks (0) vs. Dinkytown Wildcats (3)

Dinkytown at home humiliates Township in a 17.5 to 3.5 victory.
Hitting 0-6-1 Dinkytown:  This one is Dinkytown the whole way, jumping out to an early lead and never seeing the competition through the finish line.  The only sub-category that was close in Hitting was Stolen bases which ended tied at 3.
Pitching 0-7 Dinkytown:  Dinkytowns utter domination continues in the Pitching Category.  Although Township may try to argue that a Collapse on the part of Township is more to blame that is not the case.  Dinkytown posted top week scores in the following subcategories: K's (45), Wins (5)okay it was a (3 way tie for the win category), Losses (0), Saves (4), BAA (.1939), ERA (1.971), WHIP (0.964), K/9 (8.869).  The only Pitching genera categories that dinkytown did post top honors in was Pitching Appearances (12) and Innings Pitched (42.2).
Mixed 3-4 Dinkytown: Township posted numbers to earn 3 runs in this category winning BB's K's (Batting) and Pitching Appearances.  Ultimately pick your cliche as it was too little, too late for the Tomahawks as they fell victim to a Dinkytown sweep.  This result has shaken up the division causing Dinkytown to leap frog the Tomahawks in the standings, tying wins and loses and now only half a run separates the two.

MVP of the Match up:  Nelson Cruz who posted a 14/28 H/AB, .500 BA, 9 Runs, 4 dbls, 7 RBI.
